I’m Max,

Alongside photography I’ve worked for years at government level and in Nordic cooperation - legal reform, official representation, strategic communication, education. Close to ministers, municipalities and public institutions. It taught me how to read a room, how to work inside one that has rules, and how to be trusted with something that matters to someone else.

That's most of what I’ve brought with me.

I photograph people in relation to place - the room they built, the kitchen they run, the day they've spent a year planning. Mostly I watch. A good part of any commission is spent working out where people gather and where the light will be half an hour from now. When I step in, I step in lightly.

Weddings hold everything I'm drawn to at once. Atmosphere, family, ritual, chaos, humour, and the moments that are gone before anyone notices them. I'm more interested in presence than perfection. If you already have a photographer, invite me as a guest.
